In Appreciation of Workers at Yamaha Japan

Over at the yamahasupertenere.com forum, we’ve been working on a project that we hope will show our appreciation to the workers in the Yamaha factory in Iwata, Japan. These guys and girls did a fantastic job of building our bikes in the aftermath of the tsunami, and getting them to us only 2 months later than originally projected.

We have produced three copies of this poster, which we hope will be displayed at locations around the factory so that workers will get a sense that their work through those tough times is thoroughly appreciated.

Anyone who’d like to contribute to this project can do so HERE – any funds raised in excess of that required to send the posters will be donated to a charity working in Japan.

UPDATE: Yamaha has received the posters and will be sending photos soon. We raised $575 which was donated to a Japanese charity, focused on helping the elderly and disabled recover from the affects of the tsunami – http://www.aarjapan.gr.jp/english/

UPDATE 18 October 2011: We received a poster from Yamaha in response to this, go here to see it.
